Sister Elements is looking forward to a series of new projects and collaborations this summer 2013 onwards. Following nearly 2 years of quiet refuge from music and live outings, the artist previously known under the moniker Sarah Sayeed is ready to return to the live scene with new work and a new sound.
"There has been an amazing process of change for me during this time. It has been a metamorphosis"
Sister Elements is finally ready to complete her debut album, The Elements in the studio, and describes the process to complete this.
"When I made The Elements, my life was in complete flux. I was holding down three jobs whilst gigging live. I couldn't sustain it anymore and burnt out. And the sound of my work had changed too. The work was so different and a new name needed to reflect this change. I knew I had to take time out before I could finish it and share it with people. This feels like the right time. It's now or never!"
Returning to the studio over the next few months, this surely must be the last step in the artists journey towards completion of her first major compilation release.
In addition to this, Sister Elements is leading on the artistic direction of a major new digital theatre space in Manchester, is ongoing Experimentor artist with New Art Exchange, and is working on a solo theatrical show Sufi in the City.
